Lovely pre-dynastic ( ~3200 BC ) style necklace made from green hammershell (4mm) and melon shell heishi beads (3mm), red agate cube beads (6x7mm), and a carnelian teardrop pendant (10x12x23mm).  Handmade  copper clasp.  
Length: 18" including clasp.

The carnelian stone, the color of blood, is a symbol of life.
