I
design and manufacture historical reproduction jewelry inspired by ancient cultures, featuring Egyptian, Sumerian,
Greek and Roman, Celtic and Viking designs.
I have always had an interest in history and a love of craftwork. After receiving my degree in
Anthropology, I went to work for a small jewelry manufacturer, where I
was employed for 20 years before branching out on my own.
It was Lois Sherr Dubin's book,
The History of Beads that first inspired me to create historical
jewelry. Some of my designs are fairly accurate
historical replicas, while others are
more creative expressions.
Whenever possible, I use materials appropriate to the historical period,
utilizing genuine gemstones and handmade vintage/antique glass and metal
trade beads that evoke the spirit of the ancient world.
I make all
of the jewelry myself, at my home in Sonoma County, California.
So come, browse, and just maybe
you'll find something you like!
